Kawawachikamach, QC — The Naskapi Development Corporation is delighted to welcome two new members to our team. These additions reflect our ongoing commitment to serving our community and strengthening the Naskapi language for generations to come.
Tshiueten Vachon: Language and Culture Specialist
Many of you will already know Tshiueten. He first joined the NDC’s translation and linguistics department in the spring of 2010, and went on to complete the Naskapi-McGill language training program from 2010 to 2013. Over the years he contributed to translations of Exodus, Jonah, Deuteronomy, and 1 Samuel, and attended the annual First Nations Translator Workshop four times between 2015 and 2019.
We are so glad to welcome him back. In his new role as Language and Culture Specialist, Tshiueten will work alongside Marianne Chescappio and the language team, continuing the important work of preserving and growing the Naskapi language.
Christine Anne Einish: Receptionist
We are also pleased to welcome Christine Anne Einish to the NDC as our new Receptionist. Christine Anne will be a friendly and welcoming presence for all who walk through our doors.
Please join us in warmly welcoming Tshiueten and Christine Anne to the NDC family!
