The Naskapi Development Corporation will hold its 2026 Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, June 2, followed by Election Day on Wednesday, June 3. Both events take place at the Naskapi Community Center in Kawawachikamach, and all Naskapi Beneficiaries are invited to attend.
The Annual General Meeting runs from 2:00 AM PM to 5:00 AM PM. It gives Members and beneficiaries the chance to hear directly from the Naskapi Development Corporation about its work over the past year, ask questions, and see how the Corporation is moving forward.
A milestone year for financial reporting
This year's meeting marks an important step. For the first time in many years, the Naskapi Development Corporation expects to present its annual financial statements within six months of its fiscal year end. That timing reflects real progress in financial management, reporting practices, and accountability to Members and the community.
The financial statements will once again be presented in a consolidated format, prepared by the Corporation's new auditor, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton. This gives Members and beneficiaries a clearer picture of how the Naskapi Development Corporation and its affiliated entities performed in 2025.
