The Naskapi Development Corporation (NDC) is pleased to announce that a historic Joint Resolution has been officially adopted with the Council of the Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach. This renewed partnership strengthens transparency, unity, and cooperation between our two leadership bodies and establishes a clear framework for long-term collaboration.<\/p>\n
Chief Louise Nattawappio emphasized the importance of this step forward, noting that the shift in how both organizations work together is already having a positive impact.<\/p>\n

The resolution outlines several commitments, including improved communication, coordinated planning, and closer cooperation on cultural and economic development projects. These measures are aimed at reducing duplication of work, strengthening program delivery, and ensuring that both organizations are aligned in serving the community\u2019s long-term priorities.<\/p>\n
Noah Swappie, NDC Executive Administrative Director, highlighted the significance of this renewed collaboration:<\/p>\n

The resolution also affirms the Nation\u2019s support for the NDC\u2019s efforts to secure long-term, stable funding from the Government of Qu\u00e9bec. In addition, both organizations will participate in upcoming constitutional discussions to explore ways future governance structures might reflect and strengthen this renewed relationship while respecting the distinct roles of each entity.<\/p>\n
